Put on the headset and the real streets of Manhattan become the stage. Guided by Liberty, the Spirit of the Statue of Liberty, you travel from the 1880s to Times Square — all in 45 minutes, from the top deck of a double-decker bus.
What is XR?
Extended reality adds digital visuals to the real world instead of replacing it. You still see the actual streets of New York while scenes and stories appear through the headset.

Is this VR?
No — it’s XR. A VR headset replaces what you see. With XR, the real streets of New York stay in front of you, and the story appears on top of them. You are looking at the actual city the whole time.
Where do we meet?
Broadway & West 51st Street, next to McDonald’s — a 3-minute walk from Times Square. Look for XploreRide staff at the boarding area. Please check in at least 10 minutes before departure.
How long is the ride?
45 minutes on board. Allow about 60 minutes in total including check-in.
Are there age restrictions?
The XR experience is for ages 7 and up. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older.
Ages 4–6 ride free with a seat, but are not given an XR headset. Ages 0–3 may ride as infants without a seat or headset.
Is there a guide on board?
This is not a traditional guided tour. Liberty narrates the story through your headset, and onboard staff are there to help.
Is there a restroom on the bus?
No. There are no restrooms on board, and guests stay seated for the full 45 minutes.
Can I bring luggage, a stroller or a pet?
No. Seating is on the upper deck and boarding requires stairs, so large luggage, wheelchairs, strollers and pets cannot be accommodated. Small personal belongings are fine.
Can I bring food or drinks?
No. Food and drinks are not permitted on board.
I have a health concern. Can I ride?
Guests with a history of photosensitive seizures, serious medical conditions, or under the influence of alcohol cannot participate. If you are pregnant, elderly, or have binocular vision, heart or mental health conditions, please consult your physician first.

An ordinary double-decker bus waits in Midtown. Put on the headset, and it becomes a gateway between the city in front of you and a world layered on top of it.

Please read before booking
Ages 7 and up for the XR headset. Ages 4–6 ride free with a seat but are not given a headset. Ages 0–3 ride as infants with no seat or headset.
Upper deck seating only. Boarding requires stairs. Wheelchairs and strollers are not permitted, and guests must be able to board and disembark independently.
Guests may not leave the bus during the 45-minute tour, and there are no restroom facilities on board.
Guests with a history of photosensitive seizures, serious medical conditions, or under the influence of alcohol are not permitted to participate.
